Prior to joining OpenAI, she gained valuable experience working at Tesla and Leap Motion. During her time at OpenAI,

Murati played a crucial role in the development of projects like ChatGPT, Dall-E, and Codex. It is worth noting that she briefly served as the interim Chief Executive Officer after Sam Altman’s removal on November 17, 2023. However, Emmett Shear succeeded her three days later on November 20th. Altman was ultimately reinstated just five days after his removal, highlighting the significant impact that this episode had on Murati’s career at OpenAI.

4. Greg Brockman

Greg Brockman, an accomplished American entrepreneur and software developer, played a pivotal role in the establishment of OpenAI and presently holds the position of President. A native of Thompson, North Dakota, Brockman won a silver medal at the 2006 International Chemistry Olympiad.

He made significant contributions to Stripe after joining the company in 2010, ultimately rising to the esteemed rank of CTO in 2013. Following his departure from Stripe in 2015, he co-founded OpenAI where he spearheaded foundational initiatives such as OpenAI Gym and the Dota 2 bot known as OpenAI Five. Notably, Brockman took center stage when he introduced GPT-4 in March of 2023 – a groundbreaking language model developed by OpenAI.

One of Sutskever’s notable contributions is co-inventing AlexNet, a groundbreaking convolutional neural network that revolutionized image classification. Additionally, he made significant contributions to the AlphaGo paper, which showcased the power of deep reinforcement learning in playing board games.

Throughout his career, Sutskever has held key positions at Google Brain where he focused on sequence-to-sequence learning and contributed to the development of TensorFlow, a widely-used machine learning framework. In 2015, he co-founded OpenAI and recently announced his leadership role in the ambitious “Superalignment” project set to shape the future of AI.
